Romain Gavras’s first feature, Luc Besson’s most recent film, an homage brought to French director Alain Corner and a portrait of actor Romain Duris are all part of this year’s edition of the French Film Festival. Over ten premieres will be available for the Bucharest audience, which will be showcased at Studio Cinema, Elvira Popescu Cinema Hall and Cinema Pro, between December 10-16.
The festival will open with Donnant, Donnant (in picture), Isabelle Mergault’s third feature, starring Romanian actress Medeea Marinescu, along with French actor Daniel Auteuil. Romain Gavras’s first feature, Notre jour viendra, will close the festival, as one of the year’s most awaited arrivals.
This year’s edition of the festival is dedicated to French director Alain Corner, who recently passed away. Film lovers will have the opportunity of viewing five of the director’s films, as well as a premiere of his last film, Crime d’amour. The festival will also include the first creations of now renowned movie directors, as Luc Besson, Abdel Kechihe pr Patrice Chereau.
