The Agency of the Year award went to MRM // McCann during Internetics 2017 awards gala. In total, there were 28 trophies awarded: 12 Golds, 12 Silvers and 3 in the interactive campaigns sections.
In this year’s edition, 15 agencies went on stage: Cohn and Jansen JWT, Golin, Heist Industries, Kubis Interactive, Jazz, Leo Burnett Romania/Publicis One, McCann Worldgroup Romania, MRM // McCann, MSLGROUP The Practice, MullenLowe Romania, Papaya Advertising, Publicis Romania/Publicis One, Samsung Romania, Three and Tribal Worldwide Romania.
The most awarded agencies were: 1. MRM // McCann; 2. Kubis Interactive; 3. Tribal Worldwide Romania and Cohn & Jansen JWT; 4. Leo Burnett Romania/Publicis One.
MRM // McCann won awards for the works “Romania’s Next Big Vlogger” – Coca-Cola (3 trophies Gold in Culture – Online Branded Content, Communities – Brand Associated Communities and Social Media – Online PR Special Projects), “Rombot – The first virtual ambassador of a country” – ROM (Silver in Digital Brand Experience) and “Like Exchange” – KFC (Silver in Social Media – Social Media Special Mechanics). The campaigns created by MRM // McCann determined the jury to give a special award for the Most Creative Client of the Year to the companies Coca-Cola and KFC.
Kubis Interactive won 4 trophies for the project “URSUS Escape Room LIVE”, Gold in the sections Culture – Online Advertising Games, Web – Microsites and Gold on the whole category Interactive Campaigns – Digital Component of an Integrated Campaign, plus the award in the section in the category of Digital Component, la FMCG – Drinks. The same campaign won also the jury’s special award Best Use of Technology in a Digital Campaign. The experiment “Grolsch Awake your Curiosity Experiment” also brought the agency another important trophy – Gold for Digital Brand Experience.
Tribal Worldwide Romania won 2 trophies, both of them for Pepsi, for “Pepsi – taking on Facebook”, Gold in the section Social Media – Social Media Pages and “Escape the Traditional Christmas Family Lunch with Pepsi” – Silver for Mobile Campaigns.
Another 2 Silver trophies went to Cohn & Jansen JWT, for “Aqua Scanner” la Mobile Apps and “Rock the Vlog by Sugus” at Brand Associated Communities (the Communities categories).
Leo Burnett Romania / Publicis One and Kaufland won 2 trophies, both for “Animaterra” – award in the Digital Component of an Integrated Campaign section- Others and Silver for all the Interactive Campaigns – Digital Component category of an Integrated Campaign.
There were also awarded 4 trophies Gold, for: Publicis Romania / Publicis One for the campaign “A VISA gift: Morgan Freeman reads Carmen’s Comment” (Viral Video), MullenLowe Romania for “The Endless Day of Giraf” (Social Media Special Mechanics), Samsung Romania for the app “See Colors” (Mobile Apps), Heist Industries & The Romanian Police for “Ghost Radars” (Mobile Campaigns).
Special accolades went to:
- The Special Youtube Award- YOUTUBE ROMANIA ADS LEADERBOARD, for the campaign “OLX Alowance #bebebine” from Saatchi&Saatchi + The Geeks & Conversion
- Best Use of Technology for a Social Cause for Ghost Radars, de la Heist Industries for the Romanian Police
- Most Creative Newcomer – FAN Courier
The competition recorded 131 works, from 24 agencies and participant companies, for 51 brands.
