Romanian journalist Andrei Gheorghe found dead at 56

Andrei Gheorghe, the journalist who had a prolific career in radio and TV, was found dead in his home near Bucharest. He was 56 years old.

According to media reports, he suffered a heart attack.

Gheorghe was born in January 14 1962 in Lipetk Russia. He graduated from the Faculty of Letters and Foreign Languages within the University of Bucharest and started his career in journalism in 1991. He hosted radio and TV shows at various media outlets including ProFM, Realitatea TV, Antena 1 and ProTV. He also had published works in print media and starred in several movies. He also did documentary films.

The journalist also worked for a period in the public sector, as counselor at the Ministry of Finance.
