ABB Romania has a new country manager

Tomasz Wolanowski is the new country manager for ABB in Romania, effective September 1, 2013. He is replacing Peter Simon who held the position for the past 18 years and who has retired after a 38 year career with the company.

Aged 45, Wolanowski is a Polish citizen and he joined ABB in 1994. Since then he has held several management positions in the company mostly in the area of sales and marketing. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Lodz, Poland.

In Romania ABB provides solutions for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and for increasing productivity in industrial operations. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 145,000 people.
