Auchan Retail Romania announces the opening of 3 supermarkets until this weekend, under the brand MyAuchan. The stores will be opened within the 3 supermarkets of OK chain, recently taken over by Auchan Retail Romania.
The first two supermarkets, MyAuchan Rosetti and MyAuchan Otopeni 16, were opened this Wednesday and the third one, MyAuchan Otopeni 244, will be opened this Thursday.
The stores have a surface between 150 and 500 sqm and were refurbished under the MyAuchan concept. The stores’ offer comprises a range of 2,000-5,000 of articles (fresh food, butchery, grocery shops, snacks, BIO products and pastry, as well as food for animals).
„We understand the clients’ need to reduce the necessary time to buy FMCG products. To meet these needs, Auchan Retail Romania made the first steps to expand the proximity format in 2017. In this context, an important step is the opening of the first supermarkets in Romania,” said Gaspar Biro, director of proximity Auchan Retail Romania.
An important aspect is the expanded program: Rosetti stores and Otopeni 24, with non-stop program, while MyAuchan Otopeni 16 is opened daily between 6 PM and 12 AM.
A big size supermarket will be opened soon, based on the partnership with BUCUR OBOR SA.
Auchan Retail Romania has 33 hypermarkets and 11 MyAuchan stores in portfolio, with over 280,000 sqm net sales surface, and around 10,000 employees. It registered a turnover, taxes included, of over EUR 1.2 billion in 2016.
