A three part project called “Bucharest – Memory / Exploring / Imagining the city”, supports the official candidature of Bucharest for the 2021 European cultural capital, shows an Arcub press release. The project is meant to transform the city into a stage and protagonist of culture, while its residents become content generators.

The official launch was on March 26 2015 and is the result of a collaboration between ARCEN, Bucurestiul meu drag, Make a Point and Zeppelin associations, under the tutelage of Arcub. The project has now reached the second phase, Exploring the city. Starting on Friday, June 26, there will be free tours of the city covering different interest areas, like a pedestrian cultural route, exploring the Polytechnic University area, discovering Pantelimon, learning about the industrial architecture surrounding the Carol Park. Details about the events taking place within the project and also a list of tours can be found here and also at the Hanul Gabroveni info point. In order to join the tours, an info point has been set up at Hanul Gabroveni, the central point of the movement. There, people who are interested can join a list 15 minutes before any of the tours. Hanul Gabroveni will also be host to several live radio transmissions.
