Cristina Mihaila is Citi Romania’s new executive director of communication

Citi Romania has appointed Cristina Mihaila as executive director of communication. With banking communication experience of over 7 years, Mihaila specializes in media relations, PR, CSR, domestic communication and corporate marketing.

 

She was the director of communication and marketing for RBS Romania, where she was part of the bank’s board since 2012 until the spring of 2015 after having joined the bank in 2008. During this time, the most important tasks aimed at creating and coordinating communication projects aimed at rebranding ABN AMRO into RBS, retail sales of RBS  following the transfer to its new owner, positioning RBS as a niche bank dedicated to the corporate segment and, finally, the sale of the RBS corporate division followed by the transfer of corporate customers and the bank employees to the buyer, in 2014. Cristina Mihaila occupied most recently the position of communications manager at UniCredit Tiriac Bank.

As executive director of communications for Citi Romania and part of the bank’s executive management, Mihaila will be responsible for internal and external communication, promoting the image of Citi Romanian market, maintaining relationships with media and institutional representatives and the coordination of the bank’s community relations.

Cristina Mihaila is (38 years old) and has a degree in communication and public relations obtained from the University of Bucharest and a Masters in Communication Management at SNSPA.
