Pro TV will be launching a new video platform with a different business model than the Voyo platform.
Thus, the new video platform will have a business model based on advertising and will be based on local content (news and local shows) which will be broadcast a week later after they take place, according to Aleksandros Cesnavicius, general manager of Pro TV.
Cesnavicius told paginademedia.ro that the platform will be called Pro TV Plus.
“We intend to launch new sections on Voyo,” said Cesnavicius. Currently, Voyo.ro has 120,000 subscribers and shows are transmitted in real time.
In April, Voyo.ro launched Voyo Cinema, the newest channel of online films in Romania.
In May, Pro TV made redundant some of its staff as part of a restructuring process.
