Mega Image takes over five Gulliver stores in Bucharest

Retailer Mega Image, part of Belgian Delhaize group, will take over five Gulliver stores in Bucharest this month. Three of these outlets will function under the Mega Image brand and the remaining two under the Shop & Go brand.

All five stores will be revamped until the end of October, the company announced in a press release.

After opening 88 new stores in 2012, Mega Image increased its profit 3.5 times to RON 46.7 million (EUR 10.5 million) in 2012 compared to the previous year, while its turnover was up by 44 percent to RON 1.75 billion (EUR 394 million).

At the moment, the retailer has 239 stores in Bucharest, Constanta, Ploiesti, Pitesti, Braov, Targoviste under the Mega Image and Shop & Go brands.
