IT company Ness Digital Engineering has leased 2,800 sqm of office space in the United Business Center 2 office building which is part of the Openville mixed-use real estate project in Timisoara, western Romania.

Ness Digital Engineering has already been present in the city for a year, the company offering customized software engineering services to clients in both Europe and the US. It is also present in Iasi, eastern Romania as a tenant of Iulius Group, the Romanian developer who is also behind Openville Timisoara.

Ness’s Timisoara “technology innovation center” currently has more than 60 employees, but it expects to grow to a few hundred employees over the next three years, according to the company.

Iulius Group is controlled by Romanian businessman Iulian Dascalu and it currently owns six office buildings which are located in the Palas Iasi retail and office project (70,000 sqm), two buildings in the vicinity of Iulius Mall Cluj (18,000 sqm) and another one in the Openville Timisoara mixed-use project (18,000 sqm).

This summer, its office portfolio will further increase by another 13,000 sqm as the second office building in the Openville Timisoara project scheduled for delivery. The developer said it works this spring on three new office buildings with a total leasable area of 73,000 sqm, which are set to be delivered on the market within 12 to 18 months.
