Romanian pavers and vibropressed borders manufacturer Symmetrica will invest EUR 1.5 million for expanding its plant in Sintereag, Bistrita-Nasaud county, for a new production line.

“The decision to expand the factory near Bistrita came naturally, determined by the increase in regional demand. Furthermore, it’s part of the company’s strategic plan to consolidate its position as market leader by expanding its product portfolio”, according to Sebastian Bobu, Executive Director for Symmetrica.

According to his statements, the funds allocated for the new production line amount to EUR 1.5 million, with total investments in the last 20 years reaching EUR 24.5 million. The new production line will be placed in a hall with 800 square meters surface area and is set to be launched in 2015, with works already started.

“The production line will have a capacity of 2,000 meters of products per day. Therefore, Symmetrica will reach a total production capacity of 13,500 meters per day (pavers and borders)”, added Sebastian Bodu.

At the moment, Symmetrica owns 5 production units on the local market and owns 24 percent market share.
