Romania’s Syscom 18, the system integrator for the oil & gas sector, announced it had sealed contracts worth EUR 5.5 million for next year, out of which EUR 2.5 million are export deals.
Ion Andronache, general manager of Syscom 18, said the company will provide the fiscal measurement system for the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline, worth EUR 26.5 million. This is the new inter-connection between Romania and neighboring Republic of Moldova.
The firm has also received an order for fiscal measurement systems of petroleum products in Congo and will supply diesel measurement equipment for an artificial island in Abu Dhabi.
“Given the high economic potential and the energy resources in this region, the Middle East will register a continuous demand for equipments used by the industry and for the measurement and control of oil and gas exploitation,” added Andronache.
This year, the company generated EUR 2.4 million of its business abroad, accounting for 20 to 30 percent of the overall turnover.
The Romanian firm has completed a fiscal measurement system in Ruse for Bulgaria’s state-owned company Bulgartransgaz, as part of the Giurgiu-Ruse pipeline. The company has also finalized in 2013 skids for petroleum products for a thermal energy plant in Iraq.
The latest project concluded by Syscom 18 is the automatization of the GPL Gaz Terminal Giurgiu.
