Tarom appoints new CEO

Christian Edouard Heinzmann, a former president of Luxair, is the new CEO of Tarom, the airline has announced. He was appointed to the position by Tarom’s board of administration after the first appointment, Heinrich Vystoupil, has refused the postion, following contractual disagreements.

Aged 59, Heinzmann has over 25 years of professional experience in the airline industry. He will start work at Tarom on November 19 as chief executive officer and accountable manager and he will have a four year term

Tarom has also appointed Michael Moriaty as CFO and deputy director. He will have a one year term.
