US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is currently making an unannounced 24h visit to Romania, Digi24 reported on Wednesday evening. The US diplomat is returning from Asia, where he made a series of state visits.
According to Digi24, Tillerson landed in Romania around 8.30 pm and was welcomed at the airport by Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu. The US official’s visit does not include any official schedule, US Embassy in Romania sources told the broadcaster.
Tillerson is due to leave Romania tomorrow.
