The Administrative Code Project could be adopted within two weeks, Vice PM Sevil Shhaideh announced on Tuesday. At the end of May the project will be sent to Parliament to be adopted.
The administrative code is a set of 20 laws on the status of public functions. Law 215 of the local public administration, Law 213 on the public and private domain of the state and of territorial administrative units, Shhaideh said. This package has been put up for debate for more than a year. We are hoping that in two weeks it will be adopted in the government as a draft law and then, by the end of May, to be submitted to Parliament to be debated and adopted, Shhaideh said.
She also said that the status of prefects and subprefects will change.
PM Sorin Grindeanu states on 21 April in Braila that the Government will draft an administrative code, so that prefects and subprefects will be considered high ranking public officials, assimilated to the position of State Secretary.
