By the end of the year, students of 300 high-schools across Romania will be able to download the book title of their choice directly on their smartphone or tablet by simply scanning the QR code of the book stored in the Digital Library of Vodafone Romania.
Vodafone developed this project together with BookLand and McCann Erickson Romania. Currently, the Digital Library offers access to 100 book titles from categories such as fiction, personal development, history, mythology, foreign languages, science, theatre, poetry and art. The titles come from 55 Romanian publishing houses and some of them are part of the school curricula.
Vodafone’s Digital Library is available currently in over 130 high-schools in Bucharest, Sibiu, Buzau, Ploiesti, Focsani and Arad. By the end of the year, it will be present in 300 high-schools across the country, and be expanded to high-schools in Alba Iulia, Bacau, Braila, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Constanta, Iasi, Pitesti, Ramnicu Valcea, Timisoara and Vaslui.
