A sociological research implemented by KANTAR TNS in seven European countries showed that 33 percent of Romanians in medical sector (hospital staff, pharmacy, polyclinics, doctors, pharmacists, etc.) and 21 percent of employees in services sector have borrowed money to save family budget.

KRUK Group carried out at the beginning of October 2017 a sociological research implemented by KANTAR TNS in seven European countries where the Group has operations: Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Italy and Spain. The results of the research reveal us the image of the financial situation of 9 professional areas which were included in the study: services, retail, constructions, transports, finances, IT, medical, educational and public services.

Spanish and Romanians are the respondents most affected by the monthly budget reduction. Romanians, as well as the Slovaks, are estimating their financial situation as being a precarious one by comparison with the other countries in the research. At the same time, the Romanian employees in the services sector often say they exceed their monthly budget.

On the other hand, 1/3 of the Romanian employees from medical sector often access a loan, even if they are reluctant to this solution.  The highest personnel rotation in the medical sector is visible in Poland and Romania: 3/4 of the respondents in these countries mentioned they have passed through periods of unemployment in the past 3 years.

“We should all be informed about the means of solving possible difficult financial situations. In our financial education activities, we have constantly pointed out the importance of prioritizing expenses and of structuring a balanced monthly budget which should take into consideration the recurrent expenses each of us has. A proper management of the amounts to be paid generates a clear image of the family budget and thus can be avoided difficult situations, “ said Tomasz Ignaczak, general director KRUK Romania.

The delays in payments and accumulated debts on the other hand show us a rather significant intention of the Romanian respondents to save money for unforeseen situations or difficult moments. Thus, 60 percent of the respondents with activities in the public sector succeeded to save money, while 34 percent of them have sufficient resources to cope with the recurrent expenditures for a period of 3 months, in case they lose their jobs.
