AdePlast, the Romanian constructions materials makers, registered a turnover growth of 13 percent to RON 346 million in 2016 compared to the previous year.

„At the end of the last year we announced a growth by minimum 5 percent and we would have expected an increase of two digits if evolutions from constructions had kept the forecasted path. Well, our objectives were realistic also the last year and we succeeded a growth by 13 percent. Also at the beginning of the last year we announced that we’ll exceed 1 million cubic meters of delivered polystyrene. We exceeded the objective here too, registering 1.2 million cubic meters, the equivalent of 12 million sqm of heating system. We consider that 2016 was an extremely good year for AdePlast and for constructions field in general. And if major changes are not taking place in political-economic area, 2017 will be on the same path,” said Marcel Barbut, owner of AdePlast.

Good results were also registered in exports, where Adeplast obtained a turnover of EUR 4 million, a growth by 36 percent compared with the last year.

„The positive evolutions that we register in exports show that AdePlast consolidates year by year the position on markets with tradition in material quality. We talk about Austria, Germany, UK, Greece. At the same time, the highest volumes were registered in Hungary, Bulgaria and Moldova,” said Barbut.

One of the markets were AdePlast accessed most recently is the hydro isolations, where the company registered the highest increases. The membranes sales increased by 47 percent compared with 2015.

„The portfolio diversification with complementary products of the one that we produce was based on the need of our clients and their requests for adjacent materials or an alternative to what we produce,” said Barbut.
