The National Agency of Fiscal Administration (ANAF) doesn’t have at the moment issues in collecting taxes and contributions despite its IT systems being affected by glitches. Moreover, it even exceeded its revenues from big tax payers in January, said today the Public Finance Ministry, Ionut Misa.

„From big tax payers ANAF succeeded to get a tax rate level of 121 percent in January, so at the moment there is no risk in taxes charging,” said Misa.

Overall, the ANAF income for January stood at 104 percent of the plan, added Misa.

However, Misa admitted that ANAF has issues with the informatic system and some solutions have to be found to avoid the risk of blockage.

„The World Bank program didn’t evolve in the wanted parameters. There were consistent delays in 2015, when we had to be at 20 percent of the program and we were only at 5 percent. There are many things to do in informatics area, issue related to the stocking capacity and servers. If there is no rapid solution, there is the risk of the system blocking,” said Misa.
