ASF fines Asirom with RON 200,000 and its VP with RON 50,000

The Financial Supervision Authority (ASF) fined the company Asigurarea Romaneasca Asirom Vienna Insurance Group SA with RON 20,000 and the vice president of the Board, Bregovan Adamovic, with RON 50,000 as a result of an announced control of its activity.

According to ASF, the control took place between September 5- November 17 2016 and its objective was to see the manner in which the company solved the damages files for the mandatory insurance of civil responsibility RCA and CASCO policies, how it calculated and registered the damages reserve (approved and not approved), as well as the data accuracy regarding the damages files in reserve/ indemnity payments/rejections/ files prescriptions.

Also the president of the Board, Juraj Lelkes and Bazon Octavian, the director of the damages department, as well as Daniela Meghea, vice-president of the Board, were fined with RON 10,000 each.

Moreover, the ASF Council requested the heads of Asirom to take a series of corrective measures for six months since the decision was received, according to the law regarding the evolution of the files in the damages reserve approved on December 31 2016 and the evolution of the damages files approved during 2017 in the mentioned period.

The ASF Council decided too that Asirom make a report regarding the risk and the solvability evaluation during 2016-2018, according to the previsions of the law regarding the quality requirements.
