The deposits of individuals went up by 0.9 percent in March, compared with February, to RON 274.6 billion. The deposits in RON of individuals climbed by one percent up to RON 105 billion and the deposits of firms climbed by 0.9 percent to RON 81.79 billion, according to a release of National Bank of Romania (BNR).
On March 31, the deposits in RON of households registered an increase by 13.5 percent compared with March 31 2016, while the deposits in RON of firms had an increase of 13.5 percent.
The deposits in foreign currency of households of individuals and firms, expressed in RON, went up by 0.8 percent up to RON 87.28 billion, while the deposits in foreign currency climbed by EUR 1.5 million up to EUR 19.77 billion.
Compared with the same month of 2016, the deposits in foreign currency of residents expressed in RON went up by 4.9 percent.
The deposits in foreign currency of households expressed in RON went up by 9.9 percent and the deposits in foreign currency of firms expressed in RON went down by 4.9 percent.
