Bio-Medica International group, which includes Bio-Medica clinics network, launches a dermatology- venereology hospital in Pipera, worth over EUR 250,000. The new hospital is functional starting from April 1 and has a contract with the National Health Insurance Agency (CNAS).
The new hospital represents an expansion of an existing clinic and comprises a modern unit of digital dermatological screening that helps detect skin cancer in early stages. A team of 40 doctors will work in this unit.
“The opening of this hospital represents an important step in the fight against cancer. The fact that patients who have insurance have access to screening with the newest technology is a premiere for us,” says Claudia Sprancenatu, CEO of the group.
The hospital also has a modern photo-therapy unit for the treatment of several dermatology diseases.
The skin cancer incidence has been growing in the last years due to the sun exposure, without sunscreen, the climate change and the artificial tan.
Bio-Medica International group was founded in 1992 in Bucharest and currently comprises a network of two multi-specialization medical clinics, a dermatology clinic and two dentistry clinics and a seniors’ recovery center.
