Key move. BNR appoints Arion Negrila as vice-president of risk at BCR Banca pentru Locuinte

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) approves the appointment of Arion Negrila as vice-president of risk at BCR Banca pentru Locuinte, said this Wednesday Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR).

Previously, Negrila served as senior executive director of risk division within BCR group. From this position, he administered the implementation of Basel III program/IRB and developed several redress, solutioning and support activities, to develop risk management strategy at the group level, said the bank.

„Negrila has over 20 years experience within BCR group, out of which 13 in management positions, while he consolidated his career in risk strategic management, portfolio analysis and risks compliance, the ratings definition and risk parameters, credit regulations, capital management and normative governance,” says the release.

He has a PhD in banking risk management at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and he is a lecturer at the Romanian Banking Institute (IBR), where he is teaching risks management, risk regulations of BNR and European risk regulations and internal processes of evaluation of fair capital (ICAAP).

BCR is owned by the Austrian banking group Erste Group and closed the first semester of this year on a net profit of RON 305 million, a 52 percent year-on-year drop.
