Bucharest City Hall 2018 budget: infrastructure projects

The Bucharest City Hall has released a new budgetary project for 2018, with around EUR 231 million being allocated for major infrastructure projects.

Of the projects already in progress, funds have been allocated as follows: Ciurel Passage – EUR 17.8 million; Nicolae Grigorescu Passage – EUR 4.3 million; park & ride parking lot at the end of Pantelimon Road – EUR 15 million; Eroii Revolutiei pedestrian passage – EUR 1.7 million.

The long-awaited enlargement of the Fabrica de Glucoza street has a budget of EUR 4.7 million. A 200-space parking on Iancului Street gets EUR 2.5 million.

The budget also provides funding for feasibility studies and preliminary steps for some new projects, such as: upgrade of traffic system and tram lines on Vasile Milea boulevard; refurbishment of traffic system and tram lines on Dimitrie Pompei boulevard and Barbu Vacarescu street; Prelungirea Ghencea Domnesti passage; enlargement of Bucharest – Magurele road; extending Brasov street between Alexandria road and Ghencea Extension; enlargement of Nicolae Grigorescu – Splai Dudescu – Vitan Barzesti intersection; Soseaua Colentina – Doamna Ghica passage; Piata Unirii bridge; enlargement of Calea Grivitei and Bucurestii Noi Boulevard; refurbishment of Basarabia boulevard; enargement of Calea Calarasi and Corneliu Coposu boulevard; Petricani-Bucharest North passage; Andronache – Eroilor passage; continuing works for investment objective “Upgrade and consolidation of Mihai Bravu bridge”; refurbishment of Grant Bridge; underground pedestrian passage Arcul de Triumf.
