OMV Petrom supported Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) to fit the lecture room „Grigore Moisil” in ASE with modern technology so that close to 1,000 students to benefit biannually from a new lecture room starting this university year, says a release of OMV Petrom. The project’s value reached EUR 160,000.
The lecture room “Grigore Moisil” has a capacity of 137 seats and it is used as lecture room by the students of several faculties from ASE.
The lecture room was fitted with video screening equipment, an efficient energy system and the old desks were replaced with new ones made from materials based on nanotechnologies.

The business environment should work together with the academic environment and Government to transform the education system in a Romanian competitiveness growth factor. I am glad that OMV Petrom can give an example in this respect. Our partnership with ASE is not limited only to updating the educational infrastructure, but is part of a broader vision that includes the direct contact of students with the real economy, the company’s employees attend seminars and workshops,” said Mariana Gheorghe, general director of OMV Petrom.
„In 2017, OMV Petrom became partner within a new master program, in Business Services. In this partnership, OMV Petrom supported ASE for the SAP licenses equipment and the company’s employees attend seminars and workshops to deliver students practical skills. In the future, the collaboration will continue with meetings with ASE students, where OMV Petrom representatives will share their experience and the business environment expectations,” added Alina Popa, general director of OMV Petrom Global Solutions.
