The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) registered a two-digit increase at the end of the first semester of this year, close to 11 percent, in conditions of dividends offer and political uncertainties, according to a statement of the market operator.

A stronger increase was registered by BET-TR index, which includes also the dividends for the companies from BET. At 10,226, BET-TR registered an increase by 16.85 percent at the end of the first semester. The dividends season was registered strongly in June and the highest yield of dividends exceeded 18 percent,” says the release.

The ranking takes into account the dividends offered until June 30 by the listed companies, present on the main BVB index

„The first half of the year brought the BVB investors two valuable IPOs and a season of dividends that was distinguished through significant yields. The local market has new bases and the investors will have a second half of the year extremely good at BVB and new IPOs,” said Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO of BVB.

Lucian Anghel, president of BVB, says also that Romania was remarked by investors through dividends yield and potential gains stemming from the economic performance of the country.

DIGI Communications and AAGES listed on the BVB in the first half of the year.
