Transilvania Broker de Asigurare, an insurance broker, will be the newest company that will be listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), while Raiffeisen Centrobank will launch warrants based on shares, said Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO of the BVB.

„A good thing is that now small firms choose to be listed on BVB, the shareholders choose this market to sell their shares. It’s observed that the Romanian capital market becomes attractive for SMEs and I can say that we’ll have a new company, one of the two that were presented in November: Transilvania Broker de Asigurare, with a new IPO,” said Sobolewski.

He added that this year there will be new products available on stock, mentioning the warrant launch by Raiffeisen Centrobank from Vienna.

„This is an very interesting instrument. The warrant allows you to invest a small amount of money and obtain a very good revenue and the risk is limited. There is the possibility of losing this small amount of money, small compared with the share price, because a warrant is based on shares, but you don’t have to buy shares, therefore you don’t pay the share price, but a part of that price. Therefore it’s wonderful that Raiffeisen Centrobank from Vienna decided to launch warrants that will be based on BVB shares,” said Sobolewski.

„There are many institutions that look to the capital market from Romania and to us, the market operator, because if we’ll obtain this promotion to the emerging market, then of course many good things will happen, that will reflect upon the financial power of BVB,” concluded Sobolewski.
