The cars and motorcycles trade went up by 16 percent in the first quarter of the year compared with March 2016 and compared with February, the growth was of 25.5 percent, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The turnover from market services went up by 11.1 percent. The turnover volume for market services went up by 7.3 percent, says the INS.
The evolution is due to the increase in the maintenance and repair of cars (26 percent), cars trade (16.9 percent), motorcycles trade, items and accessories; the maintenance and repairs of motorcycles (16 percent) and activities from items and accessories for cars (10.7 percent).
The market services activity, on a gross series, during January- March, registered a turnover by 7.3 percent higher compared with the same period of 2016, from gambling and other entertainment activities (9.5 percent), hotels and restaurants (6.9 percent), washing, cleaning and of textiles and furs (5.3 percent). The hair styling and beauty services dropped by 3.1 percent.
