Car sales in Germany under the Dacia brand went up by 50 percent in May to 6,785 units, while the overall sales in new cars climbed by 12.9 percent to 323,952 units, according to the Federal Authority from Transports (KBA).
Volkswagen and BMW reported increases in sales by 8.8 percent, respectively 6.9 percent in May, while Renault and Ford deliveries registered an increase by 3.7 percent, respectively 14.7 percent.
In the first five months of this year, the sales in new cars on cars market from Europe went up by 4.7 percent to 1.45 million units, while Dacia had an increase by 35.4 percent to 26,098 cars.
Volkswagen registered a decline of sales by 3.6 percent during January-May, while Renault and Ford registered an increase by 14.7 percent, respectively 7.6 percent.
