Defense Ministry buys equipment worth EUR 13 mln for Air Force

The Romanian Defense Ministry will spend RON 61.3 million (EUR 13.1 million) on equipment for the infrastructure of military units under the Major State of Air Forces, provided by seven companies.

The framework deal was granted by the Defense Ministry through Military Unit 01836 from Otopeni, Ilfov, specialised in repair and maintenance services for military planes, missiles and space ships.

The purchased machinery will be delivered to military units in Borcea, Boboc, Campia Turzii, Otopeni, Mihail Kogalniceanu, Bacau and Giarmata.

The largest contract, of RON 20.6 million, was awarded to the industrial equipment producer Fresia, from Italy. The second contract, worth RON 13.6 million, was given to the German industrial equipment producer Europlast. Trailer and semi-trailer distributor CTE Trailers from Ilfov got the third largest contract, of RON 10.3 million. The other contracts were awarded to Metatools (Ploiesti), Eurospeed (Suceava), Gradinariu Import Export (Bucharest) and ATSA Industry (Brasov).
