Digi shares down over 4 pct in second trading day on BVB

Digi Communication shares went down by 4.13 percent on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on the second trading day, when it was announced that the CEO of the company, Serghei Bulgac, is prosecuted for money laundry, as part of a wider investigation into the sale of football TV broadcasting rights for the 2008-2011 seasons of the First League.

Bulgac is prosecuted for the time when he was the head of RCS&RDS, the telecom group controlled by Digi.

The price for a Digi share dropped to RON 39.5, under the IPO price of RON 40. The shares were the most traded on Wednesday, with combined deals worth RON 109.2 million.

The total value of the BVB transactions amounted to RON 178.2 million (EUR 39.13 million), with shares’ trades values of RON 176.2 million.

Important transactions on BVB were made also made with Banca Transilvania shares (RON 5.18 million) and Transgaz (RON 3.14 million).

The most important increases were registered by Artego (5.8 percent), Conted (2.76 percent) and Armatura (2.7 percent) and the most significant decline of shares was registered by Alumil Rom Industry (11.11 percent), Prodplast (5.88 percent) and Turbomecanica (5.01 percent).
