DONA pharmacies chain has opened recently its 300th unit in Iasi. Thus, Dona network will provide services to 2.6 million patients from all counties of Romania. DONA representatives aim to exceed 350 units until the end of 2017, both through organic development and franchise partnership.
The last opened unit functions in the franchise system agreed by DONA pharmacies and the pharmacy chain Medikon – Baby Farm, for 5 of the 6 pharmacies that it owns in Iasi.
Over 16 DONA pharmacies function in franchise system in Romania, Bucharest, Rosiorii de Vede, Alexandria, Braila and Iasi.
The expansion program will continue for the next two years.
„300 pharmacies mean for us the chance to be closer to the patients and the possibility of offering better general conditions regarding the prices and products portfolio, as a result of the improvement in negotiation skills with the suppliers and producers, ” said Eugen Banciu, president of the DONA group.
DONA pharmacies went through a rebranding process that started in 2014. In 2016 RON 5 million were invested in rebranding and this year will be allocated RON 2.5 million.
