The Entrepreneurs’ Workshop is offering an entrepreneurship course to 350 people in the West of Romania (Timis, Arad, Caras-Severin and Hunedoara counties) who have an idea for a business, giving them the chance to transform their ideas into business plans.

The 350 business plans will compete and 37 will be selected to get financing of up to EUR 40,000.

The target group will be formed of individuals who meet all the following criteria: they want to open a non-agricultural business in an urban area; are over 18; live in the West region; are secondary school graduates; have not taken part in other projects co-financed with non-reimbursable funds.

The group does not include NEETs (people who are not in employment, education or training) between 16 and 24 years old.

The project begins with entrepreneurship courses in Timisoara and county capitals in March-August 2018 for those who live in one of the counties mentioned above and want to open a business in the region.

Between September and November 2018, business plan contests will be organised and around 35 entrepreneurs will be selected to receive a financial assistance of maximum EUR 40,000, 100% non-reimbursable.

From November 2018, the selected entrepreneurs will take part in a series of activities to help them develop a sustainable business (internships in their fields, counselling and mentorship, business school-type events, monitoring of the implementation of their business plan and investments).

Business need to be new, non-agricultural and opened in an urban area in the region, and create at least two new jobs. Entrepreneurs can’t be majority shareholders or associates in other businesses.
