Romania’s industrial production rose by 2 percent in June compared with May, when there was a drop of 4.2 percent, while in the entire EU it grew by 0.5 percent and by 0.6 percent in Euro zone, according to the statistics office of EU (Eurostat).
The biggest increases of the industrial production in June were registered in Ireland (7.1 percent), Bulgaria (3.9 percent) and Greece (3.8 percent), while the most significant decreases were in Estonia (minus 3.1 percent), Hungary (minus 2.3 percent) and Malta (minus 1.6 percent).
The increase of 0.6 percent in industrial production in the euro area in June, compared with May, is due to production of capital goods growth by 1.3 percent, durable consumer goods by 1 percent and non-durable consumer goods by 0.7 percent, while production of intermediate goods fell by 0.2 percent and energy by 0.6 percent.
The biggest gains in 2015 of industrial production were reported in Letonia (7.9 percent), Greece (7.6 percent) and Slovenia (6.1 percent) and Hungary (5.2 percent), while the biggest decreases were recorded in Malta (minus 8.5 percent), Estonia (minus 4.6 percent) and Sweden (minus 3.1 percent).
