Anyone in the film industry has an eye on what’s happening in Europe these days, in Berlin to be more precise. The second best-known film festival starts on February 9 and promises a wide variety of genres and topics selected for presenting them on the silver screen. Maybe that’s why this weekend we only benefit from two premieres, one for adults and the other for all those passionate about animations.

Fifty Shades Darker

Director: James Foley
Starring: Tyler Hoechlin, Luke Grimes, Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson
Synopsis: When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

The LEGO Batman Movie

Director: Chris McKay
Starring: Zach Galifianakis, Jenny Slate, Will Arnett, Ralph Fiennes, Mariah Carey, Billy Dee Williams
Synopsis: In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO (R) Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO (R) Batman Movie.” But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
