Public Finance Ministry will pay the first annual interest for state bonds FIDELIS, CENTENAR edition, valued at RON 2.15/bond on August 4, according to an information sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
According to the document , the Central Deposit will be responsible for the distribution of the amounts representing interests and back-payments of the nominal value by the Fidelis state bonds owners and the payments are made through bank transfer in the owners’ account or in cash in the of Commercial Bank of Romania agencies, as payment agent.
The state bonds issued by the Public finance Ministry (MFP) within ”Fidelis Centenar” have been transacted since August 5, 2016.
“The Ministry attracted RON 735 million via the state bonds issue, seven times more than the odder of RON 100 million announce initially. In the three-week offer, 20,185 individuals bought state bonds, by 16 times more than 2016,” said a BVB release, from that period.
The price of a state bond is established through the BVB system, based on the demand and offer, dependent of the market conditions. The price is expressed as a percent of the nominal value and can be higher or lower than the initial value of 100 percent.
