Sales for processed meat products of producer Vascar increased by 34 percent during the first four months of the year, a press release by the company shows.
The largest advance was posted by its brand “Moldova dishes,” which was launched 6 months ago and already reached a 30 percent share of total company sales.
“Six months after the expansion of the range ‘Moldova dishes’ in the meat category, it has come to represent 30.6 percent of sales among the company’s processed meat products. The most sought after are peasant specialties – Prague ham, chicken breast wursters, salami and premium sausages. The VAT reduction on food from 24 to 9 percent resulted, on the one hand, in clients seeking high-quality products, and on the other hand, in the increase in volume of sales,” said Vlad Ciuburciu, marketing director of Vascar.
Another range of products registering positive results were the canned foods, for which a 43 percent hike in sales was posted, as compared to the same period of the previous year.
