Holzindustrie Schweighofer Romania names Luciana Petrescu as communication director

Communication expert Luciana Petrescu joins Holzindustrie Schweighofer Romania, part of the Schweighofer Group, one of the top players in the European wood processing market. Petrescu will work as communication director of the firm.

“This appointment underlines our dedication towards open and clear communication, accessible to both specialists and non-specialists,” said Dan Banacu, general manager of Holzindustrie Schweighofer Romania.

“I am looking forward to taking up the role of communication manager and spokesperson for Romania. Holzindustrie Schweighofer is one of the major foreign investors in Romania and an innovator in the technological field,” said Luciana Petrescu.

Petrescu is a journalist by training, with a focus on business. Before joining Holzindustrie Schweighofer Romania she was involved in the market entry of Nobel Oil as a downstream player in Romania. She has also a background in comprehensive marketing, communication and PR strategies as she worked as a PR real estate expert and entrepreneur.

The Schweighofer Group is primarily active in the wood processing industry but also in dissolving pulp production, forest management, bioenergy production and real estate.

The industry division of the Schweighofer Group operates three sawmills and two wooden panel productions in Romania, one saw mill in Germany and a dissolving pulp production in Austria.
