HP Romania will implement ePrescription in the Romanian healthcare

HP Romania was selected as the company that will implement ePrescription (the system of electronic prescriptions, which will allow to monitor in real time the drug consumption in Romania, eradicate medication errors and frauds in the system.

Thus, HP Romania will supply the IT solution to the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), as part of a EUR 10.3 million contract (VAT included).  The EU-funded project should be finalized within 6 months.

Earlier this year it was announced that a consortium formed of HP Romania and Novensys will supply to CNAS the IT solution for the introduction of the electronic health insurance card, in a contract that is worth in excess of EUR 25 million (VAT included). The contract must be implemented in 9 months and will be financed from the CNAS funds.

The ePrescription, the electronic health card and the electronic patients’ file are part of an informatization process of the health system started ten years ago.
