Immofinanz leases over 80,000 sqm of office space in Bucharest between May and December 2016

Real estate developer Immofinanz leased a total of 80,000 sqm of office space in various of its properties in Bucharest between May and December 2016, the company has announced. About 60 percent of this surface was represented by deals with new tenants and further extensions, according to company data.

Some of largest deals were signed for the first building of the Metroffice complex. This includes a ten-year lease for 7,700 sqm lease made by American automotive company Harman. The company will benefit from a tailored headquarter in Metroffice, which will include office spaces, showroom, storage, as well as an underground car lab, said Immofinanz representatives. Porr Construct leased another 1,800 SQM. Over half of Metroffice is now occupied, according to company data.

Other new tenants are active in media (Ringier, with 2,400 sqm in Iride Business Park and Sinevizyon, with 2,000 sqm in Pipera Warehouse), retail (Kaufland, with over 2,000 sqm in Pipera Warehouse) and office-shared services (Regus, with 1,500 sqm in Iride Business Park).

The 80,000 sqm represent more than 40 precent of the developer’s entire office portfolio on the local market.
