InterContinental Bucharest celebrates 45th anniversary with party hosted by GM Lior Bebera

On Thursday 24 February, InterContinental Bucharest celebrated its 45^th anniversary and the 70^th anniversary of InterContinental Hotels&Resorts with a party hosted by General Manager Lior Bebera.

The program of the evening debuted with an on-stage interview with InterContinental GM Lior Bebera conducted by Lucian Mandruta and was followed by a performance by a live band, entertainment by Flying Cocktails and a raffle.

Both the musical and the culinary program of the evening were customized to reflect some special destinations among the over 180 it established a presence in worldwide. The food offer included traditional food from Germany, Israel, Romania and more.

The raffle offered to some lucky winners two-night stays at InterContinental hotels in Berlin, Tel Aviv, Kiev, London, Malta and Bucharest.

“We have to continue the legacy,” Lior Bebera said during the on-stage interview, in an evening that highlighted the past of the hotel, one of the symbols of Bucharest. In appreciation for the dedication of its staff, the cake, shaped as the InterContinental building, was cut by a departing manager who had started his career as a bellboy, 40 years prior and had spent all his professional life at InterContinental Bucharest.

As for the his future plans at InterContinental, the InterContinental GM said the hotel was planning to introduce “immersive spaces, which can be customized by clients, in the near future, such as the next five years.”
