Kaufland expands to 70 stores

German discount hypermarket chain Kaufland has reached 70 stores on the local market, after opening a new unit in Campina, Prahova county.

12 of the existing hypermarkets have been opened this year in cities like Ploiesti, Sighisoara, Fagaras, Targu Secuiesc, Oradea, Caransebes and Vaslui.

Kaufland is part of the German group Lidl & Schwarz which also operates the local Lidl chain.
