The Tarom Board of Directors appointed Dan Plaveti as interim General Director and also decided that Gabriel Stroe should resume his duties as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the company announced.
According to a statement, one of the main objectives of the Tarom management is to make the company more efficient, with a focus on the company’s financial development. As revealed by a document released by Tarom, the financial results for the first six months of 2016 are in accordance with the budget approved for this year. The re-appointment of Gabriel Stroe, the document indicates, is meant to continue the improvement of financial results and to help attain the goals set for 2016.
Stroe was appointed CFO in 2015, following a selection procedure, and, starting March 2016 he took over General Director duties.
Dan Plaveti is to serve as General Director as of August 5 and will hold the position until the completion of the selection procedure. The selection process of Tarom’s General Director is estimated to take place an additional 4-6 months, the company announced.
Dan Plaveti is a member of the Tarom Board of Directors and has worked as a manager in both state and private companies and has graduated from the Faculty of Space Engineering.
