Key move. InvestRomania head Manuel Costescu to join Transelectrica’s advisory board

State Secretary with Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment Manuel Costescu was nominated to join Transelectrica’s Advisory Board, together with Dorin Alexandru Badea.

The candidates were appointed at the proposal of the majority stake holder, the Romanian state, via the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment.

By filling these two positions, we are finalizing the first stage of the selection of supervisory boards members of the first five companies in the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment (…). Between May-August 2016 we selected 18 new managers, from over 300 applicants, on the basis of criteria of competence, proffesional experience and integrity. We are confident that this process will be carried out in the upcoming period by all companies where the state is a stake holder” Sorana Baciu, State Secretary with the MECRMA said in a press release.

Out of 48 applicants, recruitment experts shortlisted 13 potential candidates and nominated two. Upon formal acceptance of the mandate of administrators, Manuel Costescu and Dorin Alexandru Badea will sign the contracts and details will be published in the Trade Register.
