PwC announced changes within its team with the appointment of Sorin Petre as partner in the advisory practice and Ionut Sas as partner within the tax and legal practice.
Having more than 19 years of advisory experience, Sorin Petre is specialized in financial analysis services, corporate valuations, assets and financial instruments valuations, financial and economic feasibility studies, financial modelling and business plans assistance.
He is a Polytechnic University of Bucharest graduate, with a diploma in Electro technical engineering, and is a CFA chart holder (Financial Analyst) and FCCA (IFRS Authorized Accountant).
Ionut Sas has extensive experience in business reorganization projects, as well as in tax due-diligence, privatization and investments. He joined PwC in October 2007. Throughout the years he gained substantial experience in several industries, such as: retail, oil&gas, telecom, building materials as well as fast moving consumer goods.
Sas is a member of ACCA, as well as the Romanian Chamber of Tax Advisors and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
At the same time, Edward Macnamara becomes the new leader of the advisory practice of PwC in South-Eastern Europe, including Romania, replacing Radu Stoicoviciu, who decided to retire from the PwC partnership.
Macnamara has worked for PwC for the last 20 years, out of which 18 years in insolvency and business restructuring. His experience focuses on restructuring across a variety of sectors (retail, oil & gas, steel, ship-builders, chemicals, leisure – hotels and pubs). He worked for banks, advising them on their problem loans, and helped companies restructure their debts. For the last 8 years he has been heavily involved in restructuring large UK and international banks, including a key role in the Lehman Brothers project.
