Stefan Radu, director of strategy and retail products at ING Romania, has been appointed as CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at ING Czech Republic. In the last 17 years he was manager of the IT infrastructure and afterwards director of strategy and retail of the lender.
He will be responsible for the development and implementation of the commercial and brand strategy for ING Czech Republic, the digital and customer intelligence departments department, as well as reaching the financial objectives for retail segment.
„ING Romania was for me an extraordinary experience; 17 years ago I joined the IT team and I had the opportunity to contribute to the new banking model development from scratch. I also had the opportunity to develop as a manager and I had extraordinary results together with my team, since the first implementation of mobile payments from Europe, until the instant credit,” said Radu.
During the 17 years, he was involved in retail operations with several innovations on local field, such as ING Self’ Bank in 2005 and the launch of ING Home’ Bank in 2006. Afterwards he had an important contribution in the transformation and digitalization process of the bank.
