Klaus Iohannis: Many pupils do not have school books

In his speech at the opening of the school year, Romanian president Klaus Iohannis criticized those responsible for the fact that many students in Romania do not have school books. Moreover, he spoke against the fact that many school buildings do not comply with basic regulations.

The education law should stop being a puzzle, whose pieces are always changind, adding that the start of the school year is always taking “some” by surprise.

“There are many pupils in Romania who start the school year without school books or in buildings that do not meet basic standards,” Iohannis said at the opening of the school year at Gheorghe Sincai National College.
