KMG International group, the former Rompetrol group, aims to reach market share of 25 percent in Romania and 12 percent in Bulgaria in the next four years, according to a release of the group. Currently KMGI has a market share of 16 percent in Romania.
„For the next period we aim to continues the development of activities and operations KMG International in the region, not only in Bulgaria and Moldova, but also in Romania and Georgia, where we are present since 2005. In the next four years we aim to reach a share of 25 percent in Romania and 12 percent in Bulgaria, and until this year-end the finalization of six new stations and four stores in Moldova,” said Catalin Dumitru, first operational vice-president KMG International.

“The development of subsidiaries in Moldova and Bulgaria, as well as in Romania and Georgia, were supported by the investments programs in the Petromidia refinery, that allowed the quantity growth of raw materials processed annually from 3.1 million tones in 2002 to over 3.8 million tones in 2007 and 5.4 million tonnes in 2016, but also to the obtained fuel quality,” say the KMGI representatives.
According to KMG International, the overall investments at group level since 2007 and until the present in Moldova and Bulgaria reached USD 50 million. The overall volume of delivered fuels in Moldova and Bulgaria reached over 4.1 million tones, the most significant growth being in the last 10 years.
