LEROY MERLIN, a major DIY retailer will open its 15th Romanian store in Timisoara, marking the end of the development, modernizing and rebranding process of bauMax stores. The store, the first to be opened in the western part of the country, has a total surface of over 13,400 square meters.
The store, featuring with a 4,000 square meters drive-in, offers over 28,000 products to be used for the building and refurbishing of houses and gardens. Employing over 100 staff, the store will offer clients express delivery services, transport, financing, a 90-day returns period for goods, rental of tools without deposit and more.
„One year ago, we announced that în September we will end a first important stage in the development of LEROY MERLIN in Romania (…) The opening of the Timisoara store marks the success of a development programe of the company that lasted over 20 months and during which 12 stores from the former bauMax network were opened and re-opened,” Frederic Lamy, LEROY MERLIN General Director Romania said in a press release.
Employing 1,500 staff, through its 15 stores, the DIY chain covers almost the entire surface of the country.
