Lia Bira, art director, and Alexandru Vasile, copywriter, of McCann Worldgroup Romania were awarded by the ADC Romania members with the title of “Team of the Year 2016”, with their campaign Rombot, Romania’s virtual ambassador, becoming also “The Idea of the Year”.
At the Top 3 ADC*RO Awards Gala, “The Client of the Year” award went to NN Asigurari si Pensii.
The Art Directors Club Romania gave the start at the beginning of last year to the project Top 3 ADC with the purpose of promoting and recognizing the excellence in the Romanian creativity. Therefore, every month, the Art Directors Club Romania’s members chose the top three of the most creative executions created by the advertising agencies.
„We want to encourage as many clients as possible to desire to receive this recognition in behalf of the ADC*RO, especially in the context in which the awards we are offering are not depending on entering taxes or other similar things, instead they are the sincere expression of the industry’s admiration for a job well done. Congratulations once again to all the winners,” said Eugen Suman, President of the ADC Romania & Executive Creative Director MullenLowe.
The Idea of the Year was chosen from all the number one ideas during the year. Therefore, the winning idea became Rombot, the Romania’s virtual ambassador, created by McCann Worldgroup Romania and winner of December 2016. The creation team was formed of Miruna Macri, Alin Sirbu, Corina Ionita // Art Director & Ioana Zamfir, Mihai Vasile, Mihai Titirig // Copywriter.
NN Asigurari si Pensii became “The Client of the Year”, due to the fact that it had the biggest number of campaigns included in the top 3 ADC in 2016: „Fetita cu Buline” (The dots’ girl) that took second place in May, „Colecta de pupici” (The kissing collection), third place in June, „NN at Electric Castle”, number one in July and „Cum se fac bunicii?” (How are the grandparents made?), second place in October.
The Top 3 Clients is completed by KFC (second place) and Vodafone Romania (third place).
